I AM CRAVING DOUGHNUT PLANT SO BAD RIGHT NOW.
And it’s going to thunderstorm tomorrow so I really don’t want to go there then. But I might because I’m pathetic and desperate.

Love this piece and the photographs. One thing though: the beauty note under this particular photograph - “Beauty note: A dollop of John Masters Organics Sweet Orange & Silk Protein Styling Gel keeps hair looking wet, even after the rain has stopped.”
Only reminded me of the wet ghetto curl look from back in Middle school/early HS. I’m not so sure that the whole as-long-as-it’s-chic-wet hair thing will work. Looks really awesome in the photographs though won’t lie!

Finally watched it, and the first thing I thought of after finishing it was how good Kristen Stewart was as Martine. I have to admit I haven’t watched her in anything else besides this and the Twilight series, but it still irks me when people say she’s a -horrendous- actress. She’s really notthatbad, even as Bella, and her portrayal of Martine was certainly not the same as her portrayal of Bella. I don’t know why I defend her so much, but I think it’s because I can’t help but feel peeved at those who have extremely strong, negative feelings about the way someone acts and in turn, believe their opinion is the superior perspective, not just an opinion. Personally for me, acting is a perceived art, and everyone has different opinions about how good or bad an actor is. I don’t find the vocalizing of that opinion annoying either — it only becomes irritating when ‘film knowledge superiority’ comes into play. It’s kind of like music — why is one artist supposedly better than another? Because you like that kind of music/voice/style or because that artist issupposed to be?
Anyways, rant aside — the movie was phenomenal. Eddie Redmayne was amazing and so believable …and made me remember I still have to watch Pillars of the Earth. Oh, and got me excited to see him in Les Miserables too. William Hurt was flawless (and once again, another actor that reminded me I should finish Damages). The movie itself made me cry really hard at the end - the build up of all the tension and emotions was successful in moving the audience (…at least me).

I’m not a huge fan of minimalist spaces in that I would feel too cold living in one, but love marveling at them — not to mention, I would definitely not mind staying in a hotel like that or spending time in a hi-tech lounge. I stumbled across Karim Rashid and cannot get over all the -awesome- he has created.
